K & G saddled up for El Vaquero off Riverside Drive, and unfortunately, this vaquero rode straight into the land of bland! For what we paid, we expected a fiesta and instead got food that tasted like the seasoning cabinet had been placed under witness protection. The two burritos were especially disappointing—the filling inside was nearly flavorless, and basically all the flavor came from the sauce poured over the top. Then came the $5 guacamole, a portion so pitiful we briefly wondered if the rest of it was coming out later. It was not. Even worse, it didn’t taste particularly good—everything desperately needed salt, seasoning, something. Our order wasn’t completely right, the plate arrived dirty, and our waiter barely engaged with us. When the check came, we weren’t even sure how we were supposed to pay, so apparently dinner ended with a complimentary escape-room challenge. For the price, the food and service just didn’t come close to delivering. Sadly, K & G will not be saddling up for a return visit. With bland burritos and broken hearts, K & G 🤠🌯 — We dine. We whine. We warn the world. Please taste your food and you will understand or hire Gordon Ramsey or something and he will tell you too.
