Beautiful lake with two nice campgrounds in Isle Royale National Park. A good stop for both the Greenstone Ridge (S. Lake Desor) and the Minong Ridge (N. Lake Desor) trails. Beautiful sunsets, suitable water for filtering, loons, good campsites. This is a great lake on Isle Royale.

Campground on south side is like a tropical jungle but in a good get lost in nature on then way back to your site kind of way. Water is pure and moose lobe to drink out of it at dusk and swim in it at night. Not great for a swim due to the seaweed on the S side but ok to get your legs wet and THE BEST SUNSETS outside of Rainbow Cove
