So disappointed with the condition of Matheson Hammock Park. This is such a beautiful location with so much potential, but it’s obvious that maintaining the park has not been a priority. The water did not even look inviting or safe enough to go into, and the “beach” area is extremely run down. There are areas along the water where you can barely even stand comfortably because of the condition of the shoreline. Everything just looks neglected and in desperate need of attention. There is absolutely no reason for a park in such a beautiful area of Miami to be allowed to deteriorate like this. Matheson Hammock should be a place that residents and visitors can enjoy and be proud of. It desperately needs proper maintenance, cleanup, and investment. Very disappointing to see such a special Miami park in this condition.
