Great tour of ancient dwellings. Much respect was given to the talented people who built the dwellings. It's truly amazing to see homes that have lasted over 700 years. The morning tours are better during the summer as the Cliff Palace is in the shade. Getting into the Cliff Palace is easy compared to exiting the the Cliff Palace. No food or chewing gum is allowed. Only water. 8/2026

Fascinating and beautiful location in the park. So much interesting information from Ranger Julia during the tour. As far as tour access, there is a pretty steep descent on steps with great views. The actual site is easy to navigate. Getting out is through 3 sets of ladders. Our group didn't find them too difficult to get up, but again some pretty dramatic views for those affected by heights. Well worth the effort to get a close up view of the dwellings. One of the pay ticketed tours on site and one the more popular tours. Easy to purchase on line up to 2 weeks ahead of time. I imagine that during peak season getting tickets the day of is quite hard.
