I recommend local tours in this region for their price-performance ratio. I went in November 2026 and paid $20 per person. It included a hike in the Red Canyon in the South Sinai Desert, a camel and ATV tour, a very short diving tour (extra charge), and a meal at a local restaurant (chicken, fries, etc. – not many options). The guide was also included. We went as a group of eight friends, and it felt like it was just for us. Definitely listen to the guide; they know about the poisonous animals in the area. Don't touch unfamiliar animals, especially insects and scorpions. And definitely haggle constantly! :)

A full-day off-road trip to the Colored Canyon. The canyon requires traversing difficult terrain on foot, but it's worth it. The views are magnificent, and the canyon is very deep. It's like a miniature Grand Canyon in the USA. Sports shoes are essential. It's worth bringing a large bottle of water. A visit to the Bedouin village where we stop for "lunch" is a waste of time.
