Waterfall Wonder: Boulder Falls, Washington

Easy hike, very little incline, with the most difficult being the descent down to the river and base of the falls (the rest of the time you are hiking on a trail higher on the hillside with the creek far below). The drive in to the trailhead is a narrow gravel road marred with potholes of every shape and size. You will be driving sloooow and weaving in and out unless you're in something like the Wrangler I just saw tearing through it all!

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Very easy hike with gorgeous waterfall views. The fire road leading up to the trailhead must have had some work done recently, the pot holes weren’t too bad. I saw many sedan type cars make it out just fine, but go slow and be careful. You can’t race along The trail had a few blown down trees, 2 we had to go under but others we could hop over. Be prepared to get a little dirty There is a “scramble” down to the waterfall if you chose to go down, if you don’t the view from the trail is equally as spectacular. We ended up going in a rainy day and really enjoyed our time. It’s a perfect hike to do year round!

Beautiful hike. Going to the falls was an easy to moderate path.

Breathtaking view of this split waterfall makes melodious major and minor notes of music adding to the melody of flowing streams of water both upstream and down stream. Hike is not too long to mid point nor too hard. Trail is filled with lush green surroundings, birds and butterflies could be spited easily. However trail head is 3.5 miles off road adventure pact with pot holes deep enough to test my patience in our low clearance car. This road is after a sharp turn on the highway which you have high probability to miss if driving first time.
