Thanks to all the reviewers who have posted photos. We spent a very enjoyable morning touring Mount Moriah Cemetery, then after viewing Seth Bullock grave, advanced onto the trail up to White Rocks. Past Seth Bullock grave, trail is moderate to difficult, depending if you understand trail rating systems. If you’re a couch potato, stop at Seth Bullock grave, and go back down. But if you have a good ankles and balance, and and no major health troubles, go all the way up to White Rocks and have a blast scrambling around. There is loose scree, so use care especially on the way down. The views are well worth the trip!

Update: in the fall of 2023 the city began a project to create 25 miles of hiking trails all over this mountain. As of December they’ve completed 2 miles. So park at the Moriah parking lot and find the trail marked with yellow ribbons *these mark the new trail areas* the new trails do intersect with the forest service road near the summit and you can hike right up the the summit White Rocks. Original post: My sister and I actually hiked this trail back in September 2017. The city is in the process of trying to make it an official trail i think. Now, one way up before the new trails was to go all the way up to the top to seth bullocks grave and then follow the forest road, the path is quite steep so bring lots of water! It took us about an hour and an half. My sister carried her little son on her back and for some of lighter parts of the trail he did a little walking. This is a moderate to difficult trail due to how steep it gets.
