The bridge itself is no great shakes, but it’s adjacent to the boat ramp for trips down through the Rio Grande’s Lower Box (class IV). There’s also shoreline for fishing, pit toilets for you know what, and access to a steep winding route up the west side of the gorge (weather permitting). It gets very busy during boating season (months vary year to year) so stay out of the way of trucks, cars, buses, and trailers loading and unloading gear for river trips. And if you have the time, book a trip. The Lower Box section of the Rio Grande is amazing!!
