Sun and Sand at Bamboo Beach Club

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Very disappointing experience. This was a family vacation, and we chose this restaurant for our last dinner of the trip. We spent an hour traveling to the location and another hour getting back to our resort. As soon as we got off the bus, the area smelled strongly like urine and sewage. Although the ambiance inside was beautiful, we were never given a menu or allowed to select our meals. Our party of 11 paid $100 per person. The drinks were decent, but the food was not worth the price. The meal consisted of baked fish, two small lamb chops with barely any meat, pasta that was too spicy to eat, and a small serving of beets. The portions were extremely small, and almost no one in our party ate their food. When I brought my concerns to the manager, she said there was nothing she could do except offer a different meal to only a couple of people. No refund, discount, or accommodation was offered that would benefit our entire party, even though we paid $1,100 altogether. After traveling so far and spending that much money, we expected a much better experience—especially for our final family dinner of the trip. We left extremely disappointed with the food, service, and overall value.

Our experience at Bamboo Beach Club was extremely disappointing, especially considering what we paid and what was advertised. The beach was full of rocks, making it very uncomfortable to get into the water. If you plan on swimming, water shoes are absolutely necessary. This was nothing like the beautiful, relaxing beach experience we expected. The food was beyond disappointing. The quality and taste were nowhere near what we expected from an excursion marketed as a beach club experience. Unfortunately, the food was one of the biggest letdowns of the day. The drinks were just as bad. They tasted watered down and were not enjoyable at all. When you pay for an excursion like this, you expect decent food and drinks to be part of the experience—not something that feels like an afterthought. Overall, the experience was not worth the money. The scenery and water may look nice in the promotional pictures, but the actual experience fell far short of what was advertised. I would not recommend spending your money here. There are plenty of other places in Jamaica where you can have a much better beach experience and get better value for your money.
