More like a national forest than a national park. Campgrounds are poorly marked and under developed. Amtrak and freight trains frequently traverse the park. Getting from one point in to another often entails leaving the park. There are many spots that have private property within its boundaries - I’ve never seen that in a NP. It might be ok if you live nearby or passing through, but overall, if you’ve been to the Smokys, Glacier, Yosemite, etc., you’ll realize it just isn’t up to NP standards.
