A wonderful, rejuvenating hike through the woods of Flagstaff! We hiked the Campbell Mesa trail, a 9.5-kilometer loop that winds entirely through a beautiful pine forest. The temperature was fantastic, around 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit), a decidedly refreshing and refreshing coolness, especially for those wishing to escape the scorching heat of the plains. Logistics are extremely convenient, as the parking lot at the trailhead is large and free. The trail is flat, well-marked, and incredibly peaceful; during the hike, we were lucky enough to spot many elk (also known as American moose) among the trees! The shade of the forest and the encounters with wildlife made the 9.5 kilometers light and pleasant. A walk highly recommended for everyone!
