Great view and great camp ground. My complaint that the website says they fit up to 35 ft vehicles. Might fit 20ft. We did manage to squeeze in one but it was tight. Also I don't recommend route 8. It is full of switch backs and was very difficult to get our 33 ft rv up the mountain. Also the website says they have 2 water and electric hook up sites, but the camp hosts took both spots. Overall it's good rustic camping but not at all how they make it sound on the website.

Stopped at the different scenic overlooks right on this stretch of the parkway. Absolutely beautiful. Got hit by a quick storm but it was fun watching it roll in from the overlook and the rainbow afterwards was amazing.

Excellent, clean, hiking nearby. Restrooms but no showers. Only one campground on the blueridge has showers. Mutiple restrooms, waterstations, water fill and blackwater dumping. Bear country rules apply. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Wild azaelia and mountain laurel other wildflowers.
