If you're looking for an easy, independent hike to do in the Fort Portal area, this is your spot! We grabbed a boda from town and asked to be dropped off at the Mountains of the Moon campus. From there, we had a delightful walk on unpaved, countryside roads until we reached the short (but very steep) access trail to the hilltop. The trail we used was on the north side of the hill and we were never bothered by anyone asking for money, the locals we met were all very friendly. Returning to town was just as easy and we ended up relishing a great walk through the Ugandan countryside!
