Great snorkeling around the Cay and along the sides by the rocks. The right side was the better side on the day we weee out.

We were there today. The beach is not closed to the public. We drove the access road, took the fork to the right to beach. Yes, there are private homes to the left and right. However, my wife and I had the center 1/4 mile to ourselves for almost 2 hours. It is definitely a top 5 Eleuthera beach as Bret Sigillo has it listed in his book.

A lot of private landowners have bought up the various access points to the beach such that now, it is completely inaccessible to the public. This is the reason why countries such as Mexico, have severe restrictions on foreign ownership of properties within 50 miles of the coastline. Very sad that the public and visitors can’t access these beautiful places because private owners felt the need to hoard these areas for themselves.
