Known for its pristine white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, this beach stands out as one of Exuma's most stunning natural gems. The beach derives its name from the Tropic of Cancer line, which runs through this region and marks the northern boundary of the Earth's tropical zone. Visitors can enjoy the unique experience of standing at this geographical marker while soaking up the sun.

The area is a haven for beach lovers and water enthusiasts alike. The tranquil waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling, offering a glimpse of vibrant marine life. The soft sands invite leisurely strolls, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nearby, small natural dunes and lush vegetation add to the beach's picturesque charm.

Culturally, the beach is deeply connected to the local Bahamian way of life. Small shacks offer refreshments and local delicacies, adding to the authentic experience of this coastal retreat. Historical tales of early settlements and maritime adventures enrich the visitor's understanding of the region's past. Whether lounging on the beach, exploring aquatic wonders, or immersing in local culture, Tropic of Cancer Beach is a must-visit destination for travelers seeking sun-kissed relaxation and natural beauty.

Awesome Beach. Good parking & views. Clean but no bathrooms. Absolutely worth the trip! Plus, Bea’s little food shack is there. Food is not much to talk about. Junk but fills the belly and nothing else nearby open on a Sunday. FYI… the road from Queens Highway to the beach if you call it that) was the worst we’ve ever driven on. No exaggeration. Combination of stone, rock, sand, maybe spilled concrete with large ruts & potholes. But, our Honda Fit rental made it. Keep the faith. You can do it. Go 5MPH and steer around them. You got this!
