Beautiful park, a must for hikers. Good hiking boots are essential. At the end of August 2026, there were no mosquitoes, which was very pleasant. One star deducted solely because there was no online warning about coyotes. Don't bring any food that gives off an odor, and be in a group of at least two; then nothing will happen. We even hiked there at night in light fog, which was still manageable as long as you have good shoes and are careful.
