Beautiful place, but beware: first, I witnessed theft on this beach (a guy came out of the woods, grabbed a purse from an unattended bag, and disappeared back into the woods). Second - there's some kind of tiny gnats that will bite you while just chilling on the sand, leaving you with the worst itch for 2-3 days. As pretty as this place is, I moved on to other beaches. :(

Beautiful we had a wonderful swim, there are no sharks, just that the road was terrible and during the swim we met a jellyfish

The Highlights; great family friendly beach, easy to find, fish, sharks ‘n things, potential privacy. The Lowlights; Theft. WATCH YOUR STUFF and LOCK YOUR CAR. Rough road. It can be crowded. No toilet - same as most other beaches. The beach is easy to find. Recommend on or close to a weekend you go before 11, as the parking can get crowded up. It is a 10m walk from the parking lot to the beach. If you want privacy go way right from where you get to the beach; past the shallow rock shelf in the water, but know the risk of theft will increase. If privacy is not your thing, stay in the middle or go left toward the homes. You will find shade in the sand until 2pm or so, then you’re heating up. If not for the theft it would be a 5.

Ten Bay is an excellent kids beach. The water stays extremely shallow for a long ways out allowing for little kids to become comfortable in the water and as you move out to where it starts to become deeper there's lot's of star fish and sand dollars to keep the older kids busy. The parking lot is small, park intelligently so you don't get boxed in by the less intelligent.
