access to get close to the falls was closed for some reason… so no swimming or getting too close. and no real explanation why (at least from the signs posted unless we missed something). The falls are beautiful so it is a bummer you can’t get close to at least dip your hands into the cool water for a second.

Beautiful falls but they don't let you down to the water anymore. 3/4 mile walk from the NY parking lot.

I just loved the falls. The area is barricaded to have direct access to the bottom of the fall. Nevertheless its so beautiful. The hike towards the fall is absolutely easy and pretty amazing
