Beautiful hiking trail with great views,I completed this trail with a large group consisting of a two year old and 7 month old, though I would not recommend doing the same because the climbing can be difficult with young kids I would 100% recommend hiking this trail.The hiking is not overly challenging and the climbing is delightful.

Great hike at Rock Mountain, it's a really unique hike once you get to the rocks, the trail you use to get around the rocks is very nice and you get to have several views of the land and the top is a wonderful place to rest for before you head down. The trail is in good shape but since right now it's the end of fall the path does get full of fallen leaves and makes the path hard to see or slippery once you get to the rocks be careful and enjoy and have a great day.

Great hike and scenery. Strenuous, but accomplishable with small children (ages 7+ in my case). I do wish the trail was marked more clearly - getting to the top is simple, but the way down gets confusing and I've come out the wrong way a few times.

Big Rock has two ways to reach the summit. You can enter at Big Rock Mountain Climbing Area using these directions, stay on Big Rock Lake Rd rather than taking the last left. You’ll find a steep gravel driveway on the left just up the hill. This entrance is mainly for climbers. It’s very steep and not well marked. If you do use this entrance, stay left any time the path splits. At the top, you’ll see a sign for the summit on the right. If you start to go back downhill, you’ve gone too far. The other entrance is using Cedar Rock Trail Parking on Google Maps. It’s a small lot and you will cross the street and take the trail to the right. You’ll cross a logging area, keep following the trail signs for Big Rock. This route is uphill but not as strenuous. The overlook at the top is a bit confusing and could be dangerous for children or dogs.
