Beautiful area! We were here in August not long after a hurricane and the ocean conditions were at a yellow flag. We had a ton of fun jumping in the waves, but this wasn't like a beach near a resort (at least not when we were here). There were seaweed/ leaf patches in the water near the shore, washed up timber, and other rocky parts. Still a beautiful somewhat secluded place to check out, but don't expect perfection and make sure you know how to swim!

When you picture a Hawaiian beach, this is exactly what comes to mind. Limited parking, plenty of shade, great waves, just like a postcard
