Luxury Safari at Singita Ebony, Sabi Sands

Our time at Singita Ebony Lodge (August 4–7, 2025) was a dream experience beyond anything we could have imagined. Thanks to our Singita travel advisor, Melissa Connelly, everything was flawless. From the airport pick-up to the warm welcome at the lodge, every part of trip felt thoughtful and filled with genuine care. The incredible food, stunning accommodations, serene atmosphere, and the extraordinary people made this one of the most memorable trips our family has ever taken. The recent renovations are beautiful, open, airy, and full of natural light which enhances the beauty of every space and creates an atmosphere of effortless luxury. Our family of five stayed in two river-facing Lewis Suites, which were perfect for traveling with three teenagers. The configuration of two adjacent suites with an interconnecting entry allowed us to stay close while still giving everyone their own space and privacy. The suites are gorgeous, elegant yet understated, and each features a private heated plunge pool, game-viewing deck, and an abundance of drinks and snacks. Waking up to the tranquil river views and ending the day with wildlife wandering past our deck felt surreal. We were incredibly fortunate to be paired with the most phenomenal guiding team: George (field guide), Timber (tracker), Pat (banakeli), and Ebony (host). They are exceptional at what they do, knowledgeable, warm, intuitive, and genuinely passionate. Thanks to them, our six game drives were unforgettable. We saw an incredible amount of wildlife (well beyond the Big Five) every day, learned so much, and enjoyed the best sundowner experiences of our lives. We absolutely adore them and will forever cherish the memories they helped us create. This stay was especially meaningful as we celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary and my 49th birthday, and Singita went above and beyond to make these milestones feel magical. The thoughtful surprises, celebratory touches, birthday choir and special treats crafted for our kids were so heartfelt and beautifully executed, kind gestures we will never forget. After a long day outdoors, it was wonderful to unwind at the spa. The personalized treatments and relaxing massages made our stay incredibly restorative. What sets Singita apart is not only its luxury and impeccable service but also its deep commitment to conservation. Learning about their work through anti-poaching initiatives, habitat restoration, biodiversity monitoring, and partnerships with surrounding communities made our stay even more impactful. You can feel their purpose woven into every aspect of the experience. Singita Ebony Lodge offers stellar service, exceptional guiding, thoughtful hospitality, world-class food and wine, and a profound conservation mission. This is travel at its absolute finest. Our entire experience felt so private and intimate that at times it felt as though we were the only guests at the lodge, an extraordinary level of attention and care that made our stay truly unforgettable. We left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and tremendous gratitude for an experience that truly exceeded every expectation. We cannot wait to return.
