Beautiful hike, even in light rain. We thought the rain would mean fewer people, but all the lots were marked full when we arrived. We still drove through and ended up finding plenty of open spots. We hiked with umbrellas from the High Falls trailhead down to the base of the falls, and it was well worth it. There were still a lot of people in the water and plenty of dogs, so it definitely was not empty, but the cooler weather was wonderful. Upper 60s felt amazing after the upper 90s last week. I’d love to come back on a drier day, maybe on a weekday, and explore more.

A popular fall with an overlook and trail to the base. The hike varies depending upon from which location you are visiting this. If you are at High Falls Visitor Center parking, it is a moderate gravel trail with lil elevation gain, out and back around 1.2 miles, if you are visiting it from Hooker Falls Access Area then it may be strenuous, around 2-3 miles. Restrooms at the parking. Best part is we can go near and next to this fall, can feel the power. A picnic spot for family to spend whole day in the water and sitting on rocks.
