Set along the scenic Shawangunk Ridge, this trailhead leads to a stunning natural maze of boulders, crevices, and ledges that challenge visitors physically while rewarding them with expansive views of rolling hills and the distant Catskill Mountains. Its rugged terrain, composed mainly of quartz conglomerate rock formations, offers a unique playground for hikers seeking a combination of climbing, crawling, and careful maneuvering through narrow passages that demand focus and agility.

Visitors appreciate the trail’s blend of difficulty and variety, with several route options marked by red arrows, ensuring a safe passage through this natural obstacle course. Prepare good shoes. Rocks are slippery, there is no way to get down in the middle. You're not going to fit with a backpack.
