Did a 17 mile section of the Bartram Trail. Exquisite Views!!! Very well maintained, but be prepared for a water carry, and dry camping.

Almost 4 miles round trip. Moderate trail to climb to the top of Scaly Mountain. Decent amount of climbing. Doable for elementary ages kids. Ice that needed to be navigated around in December 2025. Park at the overlook, cross the street and head up the stairs to the trail. Very well marked on the trail. Very well maintained and marked- uses yellow markers (mostly single; some double) and at the summit there is yellow paint on the granite boulders as the final three (or so) markers.
