This trail provides stunning views of the lush Koʻolau Mountain Range along with the vibrant native forests that cover its slopes. The ridge’s unique blend of tropical vegetation includes native ʻōhiʻa lehua and uluhe ferns, presenting an authentic Hawaiian landscape rarely seen near an urban area. Awesome hiking trail. If you follow the maintained path, it will take you to unmaintained ridge trail and the Mt. Olympus summit. Conditions are the ridge can change frequently, from hot sizzling sun to fast gusts of wind, and even large amounts of rain. Bring suitable hiking shoes that you are okay with getting muddy.

Beautiful sunset drive - hard on the 50 CC moped. In fact, the scooter literally required scooting on some of the uphills. Reminded me of San Francisco. Diverse forest follows the ridge line with moderate to limited outlooks. We stopped for sunset at the towers with power lines for a view point. Be cautious around the microwave relay antennas.
