Not much of a site or very easy to access from the "aesthetic" side, but it was fun to climb on top of I guess??

This "attraction" was incredibly underwhelming and not at all worth the trouble getting there. There are larger and much more interesting rock formations just randomly on the sides of trails that are not even the main attraction at most other popular hiking areas in Arkansas. It wasn't even really balancing on anything. THIS ROCK SUCKS!

It's a nice hike, but beware the first 1/4 mile of the hike is straight up the mountain on a washed out trail. One you get to top it's pretty easy. The rest of the hike was easy/moderate and getting down to balanced rock is pretty steep. Coming down the wash out is even tougher, lots of loose rocks, I recommend the hike because at the end there are some amazing views.

A fun hike with great views at the end. We weren't expecting much from this hike, but were pleasantly surprised. Although the signs say it is longer, our GPS on our phones had it at almost exactly 2 miles round trip from the trailhead. The first part is uphill, but we did not find the trail difficult. Balanced rock itself is fine, but if you go to the left side of the area above the rock, there are some really beautiful views. Would certainly visit again if we were ever in the area. We were disappointed how much trash was along the trail. We picked up as much as we could, but wish others would be more respectful of the national park.
