When entering the Sand Harbor BOAT RAMPS as the destination, I'm ALWAYS directed to the Sand Harbor Day Beach... NOT the BOAT RAMPS. The Sand Harbor boat ramp vs the Sand Harbor day beach have 2 completely DIFFERENT entrances!

Park Ranger Emma was very helpful and courteous. I arrived early and she let me know I could park at the boat ramp and paddle board if my SUP was inflated before arrival. I had one of the most enjoyable SUP experiences here at Sand Harbor. Simply beautiful.

The lake itself was amazing, and we really enjoyed the location. Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by an employee named Emma. Throughout our visit, Emma was overly confrontational and made it difficult for us to enjoy our time. We were following the lake’s rules at all times, yet she repeatedly accused us of playing our music too loudly and exceeding the 5 mph speed limit. Those accusations were simply not true. We made a conscious effort to follow all posted lake regulations and be respectful of everyone around us. We understand the importance of enforcing safety rules, but we felt we were unfairly singled out and treated as though we were doing something wrong when we were not. Her approach was unnecessarily aggressive and took away from what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable day at the lake. We hope this feedback is taken seriously so future visitors can have a more positive experience.

If your not there when it opens on weekend you will likely have a problem trying to launch a boat due to limited parking. Amazingly, I was the ONLY car with a boat in the boat ramp entrance line! Seems a lot of people feel entitled to drive through the BOAT ENTRANCE in their car thinking they are special and should get a parking spot. What a waste of park resources and everyone else's time.
