The view from above is impressive. Unfortunately the hiking trail down to the waterfall was closed today (April 23rd). However, the street up was open. It would be good if there was information about the hiking trail at the bottom of the road.

A magnificent waterfall. There is a nice picnic area. There are walking tracks, check if they are open before coming.

On the 10.04.25 : wallaman falls road is open (don't trust Google maps if it's still showing a section of the road as closed just after the junction with Lannercost ext rd (The only exception is if there is some flooding again, in this case it's probably close for a good reason). The main road is good, a bit narrow once in the mountains but good. No need to take the road google recommend a bit further away on Carrig Dhown road. We went there and it's a gravel road with a sign "no access to wallaman falls". Otherwise, nice fall, worth the drive to it. A bit sad that the walking tracks are closed but safety first. There are also a few picnic tables with shade, quite enjoyable.
