Oxbow Bend is one of the most famous and frequently photographed viewpoints in Grand Teton National Park. Here, the Snake River forms a beautiful, sweeping bend, framed by the impressive Teton mountain range. For me, this spot is one of the most beautiful photo opportunities in the entire Grand Teton National Park. The combination of the majestic Teton Mountains, the gently flowing Snake River, and the river's meandering course is simply unique. An absolutely worthwhile viewpoint—especially for anyone who enjoys photography.

This place is seasonal, and while I know many photos online show an amazing view of mountain reflections on a calm, flat river, the reality isn't always quite like that. If you want the best experience, keep two things in mind: First, you probably need to arrive very early in the morning when the sun hits the mountains in the right direction. Or very late on sunset. Second, you might want to visit when there aren't people out paddleboarding. I was there in mid August, and the river was too rough there was simply no way to get that glassy reflection. Because of that, I feel it is a little overrated unless you catch it under the exact right conditions. I'm attaching my picture of realistic view.
