This is the namesake of the Eagle Cap Wilderness. If you are anywhere near EagleCap, hiking up to the summit is a “must do” undertaking. The views are outstanding, and essentially you see the vast majority of the entire wilderness.

Just did the hike and there was a lot of snow. The lake is frozen and covered in snow which is surprising for late June. Really pretty though!
