Great hike! Highly recommend bringing trekking poles as you will be required to balance in some muddy conditions. We did this hike in June so keep that in mind. It rained all night so the trail was very wet. When we got to the top there were clouds so the views weren’t as cool. This is the first time I’ve ever stood inside of a cloud though so that’s pretty cool.

The clouds cleared just as we reached the summit, opening up the views at exactly the right moment. After hiking through limited visibility, watching the landscape suddenly appear around us made the summit feel even more rewarding. The mountain gods were kind to us today. An unforgettable Adirondack moment and a beautiful reminder that sometimes the timing works out perfectly.
