We visited on Labor Day. There was no charge for the visit, which was nice. The collection of fossils is excellent. There are even collections in the restrooms. Worth the drive to explore the area and learn about the history of fossil lake.

Well worth the stop! Don't miss this if you intend to visit the quarries to get your own fossils. The casts and real fossils they have are fantastic and it's a great exhibit! You'll gain some understanding of the formation and what to look for. Very nice little museum.
