Soft sand but be careful when step in to the sand close to trees. So many spikes from the trees

I stopped by here for a morning swim and it is definitely a beautiful spot with nice sand and clear water. However, the parking situation was a total nightmare and it took me forever to find a space, which really started the morning off on the wrong foot. It was also extremely crowded by mid-morning, making it hard to find a quiet place to sit and relax. It is a decent beach if you get there super early, but otherwise, it can be a bit overwhelming with the number of people around.

Found a beautiful reef on the north side of Ulua beach. Recommended for strong swimmers not beginner snorkelers. The tide was low and the water was a bit more rough due to time of day and weather but I still enjoyed this fun find! Lots of urchins along the outside edge. I opted not to go into the reef too far from the south edge since there wasn’t enough depth for me to swim above without risk of damaging the reef or getting hurt by rocks or urchins. Morning and mid tide might be a better time to see more reef.
