Beautiful location right on the river. Walk out your door and fish. The compound is beautiful and very laid back. Nice porches to sit on and watch the river go by. There are a group of guides associated with the lodge and it's its very well organized. The guide we had (Davis) was excellent. Only two things the you should be aware of - 1. They don't have internet available. and 2. There are no TVs. They do have good cell service so staying in touch is not a problem. I would highly recommend and I'm sure that well come back.

If you are considering a trip and reading this, just book it. You won’t be disappointed. The owners and staff are wonderful. The setting is bucolic. The guides are experienced. And it’s on the Trophy Section of the Watauga. Need I say more? Nope but I will ;-) The beds are also soooooo comfortable that you won’t want to go home to your own bed. This is true.
