We have had the pleasure of visiting the island of Koh Hong three times. Every time it was a very special experience. Just arriving by boat is just beautiful. On our last trip, we booked a long-tail boat on Klong Muang Beach the day before and left at 6 a.m. on the day of the trip. When we arrived on Koh Hong, we had the little paradise almost to ourselves. We were able to watch the sunrise behind the limestone cliffs and enjoy the still deserted beach for a while. Then we headed to the 360 ​​degree viewpoint, which we had missed on our last few trips. The climb wasn't really difficult, and luckily the path up the stairs was still almost completely in the shade at this time of day. The view from up here is simply fantastic. Even if this island is no longer an insider tip, a trip there is worth it. If you want to avoid the crowds, book a long-tail boat early in the morning and enjoy the island at its best. This island is truly beautiful. We came from Ao Nang with the Hong Islands tour. But the other stops on the tour were not as beautiful as this one. I would prefer to come here directly and spend half a day instead of taking a tour. You can rent a canoe. We rented it for 300 baht by bargaining for half an hour. They said that you could actually go to the Lagoon in 1-2 hours, but we did not have time. You can climb the 2000 steps to the top of the island and watch the paranomic view. There are no sunbeds. There was a business selling coconut drinks or something. The sea was shallow and there were corals underneath. You cannot swim without shoes.
