Rocky Wonders of Bako National Park

We loved the park although we must keep in mind that the routes are demanding due to the heat and humidity. Be careful, they charge per boat and for two, it is a little expensive. You can try to coordinate with someone. Some macaques followed us on one part of the trip, lurking in case they could take something, so be careful with your belongings, the monkeys are theirs. Definitely worth a visit

Absolutely amazing experience at Bako. We stayed for one night but definitely could have done another to see more wildlife. We were lucky enough to see sooo many animals (all monkey types, bearded pigs with babies, lemurs, frogs, lizards, snakes, owl, and more). The staff at the park are so friendly and helpful. Our room was basic but good for the environment—clean, beds were comfortable, electricity, no hot shower but wasn’t needed, and 2 fans was enough for us to sleep through the heat. Cafeteria food was really good. Highly recommend the jungle walk! If you’re going out there, 100% stay the night. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Grab or taxi to Bako village. Get the guide when you buy the boat trip - be prepared for very choppy water. Guides know where wildlife is and will go the extra mile to ensure you see a variety of beautiful creatures. Take drinks and snacks, and bag to collect all the plastic and rubbish you’ll see on the shoreline. Late March was unusually cool - only 32°…. Long sleeves are a must as the moz and midges are viscous.

That's cool. I have often been to Kuching. But never been here. Just the first time. What an extraordinary experience...

When I went there, the sky was clear and there was no shade in many places. I almost died of heatstroke due to the sun. I didn’t see many animals. Putting this aside, it would be great if it rains or cloudy here. It is a very natural place, and the beach scenery at the end is very beautiful💕
