Do NOT waste your money. 100% Tourist trap. If it’s cloudy, you will have ZERO view of the volcano. You will walk on a few black lava rocks from 50 years ago. That’s it! Then it’s an average forest then a swamp. No animal to see except ants carrying leaves (not worth $25…) No interesting plants. There is a short green trail. We did the longest one the red, 2 hours long. Biggest tourist trap of my stay in Arenal area

$28 to hike one trail. A true scam. I would not recommend this place at all. Even for the he view. It really just isn’t worth it. It’s a private hike “next to" the actual national park.

Beautiful view to the right at the end of the route. Tip: walk to the endpoint first and then return via the extra 3km loop... It goes beautifully through the wild vegetation and makes the return journey a lot more interesting.... Hopefully you will see the volcano; the summit is often shrouded in mist/clouds 😊

Unfriendly staff and clearly the goal here is to rip off tourists. We had a 20% discount card. Given the (outrageous) $28 USD entrance fee for a 1-hour hike, it was a significant saving. We only thought about the discount after paying. But the receptionist refused to apply it, saying it was "too late," and in a condescending tone. Avoid this place; it's worthless compared to other, cheaper, and more interesting places nearby.
