Gorgeous location for walking dogs. Bring water and protect yourself from the sun so you can enjoy the multitude of trails that await you. It takes time to reach the Doña Ana mountain going on an upward incline by foot; however, bikers will reach the mountain much faster. A lot of mountain bikers present.

Lots of trails in the area and very popular among the locals. We took a nice hike all the way out into the mountains and a place called The cathedral. We were lucky to see a group of 8 or 10 javelinas scrounging around and chasing each other 🐖 As usual in the desert it was hot, dry and no shade. Be ready and drink a lot of water.
