Beautiful 360 view trail, with an amazing journey up to it, nice people. Pretty easy even to do in snow, I did it in Crocs. :)

Plenty of free parking. No fees & no restroom on site. A lot of switchbacks with a steady and easy incline. Half of the trail towards the top had frozen ground and was slippery & icy. The ridge was thick with snow. Would highly recommend shoe spikes. Overall gorgeous views on the way up and clearings to take it in. We saw a group of deer and some woodpeckers.

You know an Alpine Trail is pretty amazing when you absolutely love it, even though it is in the midst of a whiteout after heavy snows. I expected to have to snowshoe on the upper part of the trail to reach those incredible views of downtown Leavenworth and the surrounding mountains, but the trail was actually well trodden and I was able to do it with only micro spikes. I have heard that this Trail is also amazing mid-summer with incredible Alpine wildflowers everywhere and the area just above the Leavenworth roller coaster and the downtown Leavenworth amenities makes this a perfect place to spend the day
