We stopped by to see the surf and to have a cinnamon bun. Quite a lot of surfers out on malls. It was a beautiful day so worth the stop.

Here’s a polished version that keeps your excitement and personal feel: If you’re a surfer, you’ve got to surf Unstad Beach. Even if the waves aren’t perfect, the experience alone is worth it. The setting is incredible. You’re surfing with huge mountains around you, green fields running down towards the beach and this amazing stretch of water in front of you. The water was definitely fresh, but once we were in it was so good! We actually scored a great day and rented our boards from the Lofoten Surf Centre. The guy there was incredibly helpful and had everything you could possibly need, from wetsuits and all the gear through to longboards and shortboards. It was easy, friendly and really well set up. Such a unique place to surf and one of those experiences we’ll definitely remember from Lofoten. If you surf and you’re anywhere near Unstad, you have to get out there!
