We arrived without prior reservation and were lucky. We were immediately offered a guided tour (€6 per person). The very competent project manager and park ranger had a lot of interesting things to report. By the way, he also spoke Dutch, English and very good German. We were introduced to the individual families from the wild horse herd up close. There were also young animals that were just a few days old to admire. We learned a lot about the complex social life of the herd. The tour continued to the shores of Lake Pape to see the aurochs. There the guide also discussed the history and ecosystem of the park. Everything is very impressive! We spent a total of about two hours on the road, which flew by. Visiting this park was a real highlight of our trip. Absolutely recommended!

Amazing place, amazing experience and amazing guide! Highly recommend visiting this place. We had great time walking around the wild oxes and horses, the guide told us many interesting things about local animals and nature in general.
