Horseshoe Bend Campground Loop A: A Scenic Escape in Wyoming

This loop can be quite crowded at times as it is fully reservable and very popular with large RV's because of the W/E hookups at almost all sites. With large Rv's and desert climate generator noise is common. Sites are pea gravel and separate parking and tent/campfire areas. A FEW sunshades are available here. We stayed here (on loop B) September 2023.

Beautiful campground, access to hiking trails. Bathrooms were clean. Highly recommend this Wyoming hidden treasure.

My husband and I stayed at Horseshoe bend campground so we could catch the charter cruise of the Bighorn Canyon the next day. It was quiet and clean. Very windy though up on the bluff while we tried to put up our tent. Pea size gravel area to set your tent up. No grass. But not a bad experience. Would recommend!

I’ve driven halfway across the country and this is easily the worst campground I’ve ever been to. Spent almost $50 for a campsite with electric that I don’t need because it was the only one available online only to get here and the whole place is wide open and the iron ranger is only charging $35 per site. There’s no one to check you in after they sent a bunch of nasty emails about how they will give away your site if you don’t get here by 6. I’ve been waiting for hours for the campsite hosts. There are also a lot of signs about bear proof food storage containers being required which was not on the online information. The sign says they have some to borrow but again, no humans to talk to in order to acquire these. I’d expect this level of service at $15/site but not at this price point. 0/0 stars go to the Grand Canyon instead
