Absolutely stunning views! Raven’s Roost Overlook is one of those places where you can enjoy the beauty of the mountains without having to put in the work of a hike. Just drive up, park, and enjoy the view! One thing to know if you’re planning to take photos: it can be VERY windy in the early morning. I took my friend’s engagement photos here and definitely wish I had known that ahead of time! 😂 Thankfully, the photos still turned out great. When my husband and I visited in the early afternoon, it was much calmer with only a little wind, so later in the day may be a better option if you’re looking for less wind. I’ve also heard sunset is a beautiful time to visit and watch the sun go down over the mountains, so that’s on my list for next time. It’s also a perfect spot to bring lunch, relax for a bit, and take in the scenery. The views make it look like you hiked to get there, when really you just drove right up. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!

Cute and cozy little overlook that looks even good with somewhat of a haze over the mountains. The little tree above the rock stairs is so odd and neat/cute too.

This was definitely one of the best overlooks we visited all day! Highly recommended if you’re doing Skyline Dr and Blue Ridge Parkway.
