We were wondering around and stumbled upon a beautiful little site. We met Mark Izold a geologist and Allen Owen a history specialist and Park interpreters. We also met county sheriff Taylor. We stayed a hour good learning about the history of the area and felt like we made lifelong friends. If looking for more information and history about Pikes peak region. Google The lost years of Barr Camp. You will also catch a youthful glimpse of Allen at work. When visiting please take a moment to make a donation of whatever you can afford. It would help to raise the funds for a defibrillator. Rainbow 🌈 🏳️‍🌈 falls. The nicest guide Allen lent me his crocs so I can walk into the water and catch a glimpse behind the waterfalls. It was on my bucket list. I would recommend bringing water shoes so you do not have to step on the pebbles in the water It's in my saved favorite places. What a fun treat to find.

Rainbow FallsRainbow Falls is a fantastic, quick stop near Manitou Springs that exceeded our expectations. The short, paved trail makes it incredibly easy to access the main viewing area. The absolute highlight of our visit was being able to carefully navigate the rocks and actually walk right under the 40-foot falls! Feeling the mist and hearing the roar of the water from underneath was an unforgettable experience and made for incredible photos. And the bridge is on the national national History register. Just make sure to check their hours before you go.
