First time out at Mayo River State Park. Seems like a great place to relax, fish, hike, and enjoy nature. Multiple areas to sit, along with a large picnic area, campground, fireplace, and grills. A great place for an afternoon with the family.

I just happened upon this place from the Virginia side and it was quite a pleasant surprise! It was definitely a beautiful fall walk and so beautiful to see the waterfall and to sit up top on the bench that was there. I was also able to walk down to an open area and relax closer to the water or continue on the walking path. Great walking trail!
