Known for its vibrant atmosphere and sandy shores, this iconic urban beach is a magnet for both relaxation seekers and adventure enthusiasts. The expansive stretch of golden sand, coupled with the mild waves of Port Phillip Bay, provides a perfect backdrop for a day at the shoreline.

St Kilda Beach is a popular urban beach known for its vibrant culture and recreational opportunities, particularly water sports and scenic walks. It’s a must-visit local favorite but doesn’t feature the unique geological formations or untouched natural beauty that characterize higher-rated natural landmarks.

St Kilda Beach is Melbourne's most famous city beach, located approximately 6 kilometers south of the city center (CBD) on the shores of Port Phillip Bay. This approximately 700-meter-long sandy beach combines a relaxed seaside atmosphere, rich history and modern facilities for sports and entertainment.

A 20-minute ride on Tram 96 from Southern Cross Station. A great spot for sunsets. A good place for a run or a light stroll. I used to go there often to see the penguins, but it's a shame that you can't see them anymore without making a reservation in advance.
