This mountain pass is recognized for its broad, sweeping valleys cutting through steep green slopes interspersed with rocky outcrops, setting it apart as a captivating destination for those drawn to rugged terrain and pristine nature. The landscape is shaped by ancient glacial activity, visible in the smooth contours and stone-filled riverbed that weaves through the scene, which adds geological richness to the area. Editorial Assessment

Chkhutnieri Pass presents a captivating mountain experience with broad geological appeal and quiet natural beauty, but its relative remoteness and lower global profile place it below the top tier of iconic natural landmarks. Its unique setting and less frequented trails make it a prized spot for dedicated nature travelers rather than mass visitors.

Beautiful view but someone needs to get rid of the price gouging locals, abusing horses rather than building a bridge, so that they can monetize better. They gave me four different prices: 25, 30, 50, 40, each time that I gave up trying to find my own way to cross. I was so angry and stubborn that I risked my life crossing it anyways, because I don't like to give money to people who price gouge.

Adishi-Iprali. Chkhunderi Pass (2720m) I was here at the end of November. This is my favorite time for hiking in Svaneti. No tourist traps, low accommodation prices, excellent weather and visibility. The climb to the pass is very easy. The only downsides are some ice and light snow on the trail in some shady areas. The views from the pass are a solid 4 out of 5. I wouldn't call them incomparable, just moderately beautiful. There are much more spectacular locations, but no one goes there (for various reasons I won't go into). Except me, of course. Overall, I'm satisfied; I'll be back. Technical information: - Backpack: 25 liters, weighs 4 kg; - Footwear: open beach sandals with Velcro closures from Thailand; - Warm jacket; No thermal underwear, windproof clothing, wetsuits, goggles, boots, dumbbells in a backpack, or any other nonsense. Let's leave that for mountain masochists. I'm used to enjoying hiking in the mountains :) Travel Master Alex Slunter (Himalayan) recommends. Nonstop on the road since 2015. 139 countries, VIP locations only. I share everything on my channel (privately) 🔥
