I love this place! There are always pets around, and I find it so much fun to watch them. I've been going for years, and every time I see a pair of dolphins near the shore. The area is busy, but not too crowded; it's very peaceful. Excellent for spending a relaxing day 😌 unlike Miami Beach. It's true that parking is often limited, but if you go early or after 3 pm, you can usually find a spot. At least I've never had any problems. I love that everything is set up so you can get out of your car and have the beach right behind you. There are restrooms, showers, and places to eat and camp without being bothered. It's also excellent for hiking, with many shady spots to camp.

Stopped on the way to Key Biscayne. Sand is more bay than ocean-wave. Good for a quick dip or watching colorful kites. Parking spots go fast when the wind is perfect. Not a full-day beach; more of a scenic pause.

Unfortunately, the beach was covered in sargassum, so we couldn't enjoy it.
