On the way to Baxter State Park, it was raining cats and dogs. We had already booked the campsites in the park but decided to book a bunk bed for everyone in the Appalachian Trail Hostel & Outfitters at the last minute. Luckily, everyone got a bunk bed for that night although the beds were scattered around in the hostel as it's a big place. On the 2nd night we switched to the private rooms. The next morning, when we started to hike Mt. Katahdin, we stopped by the Ranger Station. The rain stopped but it was cloudy and super windy that morning. Also, according to the ranger, there was still a small chance of rain throughout the day. We decided to give it a try since everyone is experienced. When we passed the Chimney Pond, the wind blew so hard that it really fits for the description for "Wuthering". The sky cleared up partially when we reached the Pamola Peak. The Knife Edge arises between Pamola Peak and Mt. Katahdin, it stands tall and firm in the passage of winds and clouds. We were in the clouds (with strong wind) most of the time when we passed the Knief Edge. As we reached the summit of Mt. Katahdin, the sun was setting. It's an elevated experience with such a beautiful grand view.
