Very nice free and affordable beach across from the hospital. Love coming here and I definitely recommend you check it out

I've always heard about Lyssons Beach, so I got to visit it one day. I was both in awe and disappointed. Firstly, it place is in terrible condition. It seems like the organization that owns it has abandoned it. The gazebos are run down, the yard is littered, the bush is overgrown, and there are so many other things. Looking past all of that, the look of beach itself it nice. It was built with all the necessary amenities from what I saw, but remember the place is essentially abandoned. It does look like people still go to the beach. I mean, it's physically not closed, because there isnt a gate or anything. You can just drive right in, park and enjoy. If the beach was in operation I'd definitely give it 5 stars.
